If you would like to help us carry out this project. Feel free to participate, it will warm our hearts!
The residency followed by the festival are intended to be at the origin of an intercultural and artistic dialogue on the subjects of the sea, the land and the foreshore, three interwoven worlds so characteristic of the Côtes-d’Armor. Inviting a photographer from a new country each year, the festival highlights the fruit of encounters and exchanges between locals and the invited photographer, thus bringing together artistic sensibilities that are both geographically and culturally distant…
For its inauguration in July 2019, we were happy to invite in residence Kodo CHIJIIWA who was able to translate into images the sensations experienced during his stay, and whose vision was greatly appreciated all summer by many visitors, who came about or by chance to this very first exhibit.
In 2020, the Swedish artist Mårten LANGE drew an enigmatic portrait of our coasts, paying homage to the forms, patterns or sculptures, both natural and human traces. A series that allows him to give back to those who have welcomed him and shared their universe.
The fruit of these residencies is exhibited one summer after the other on the quays of the port of Loguivy-de-la-Mer, accompanied by participative workshops, colloquiums, concerts and open-air photo-projections, thus creating a space for intercultural sharing taking photography as an excuse!
Thanks to all of you who supports its realisation, we may ensure the next edition!
